Biography: Martin Pcola

Since December 2013 Martin Pcola is Authorised Manager at East-West United Bank. He is in charge of supervising Financial, Risk, Compliance, Operational, IT and administration functions of the Bank.

Martin Pcola’s professional experience has been earned through several senior financial and audit roles at top tier companies located in different European countries. From 2012 to December 2013 he occupied a senior financial role at EU headquarters of Amazon in Luxembourg, preceded by Senior Manager position, focused mainly on banking, re/insurance and securitization sectors, and in Audit assurance services of Deloitte S.A. in Luxembourg. Prior to this, during the period from 2002 to 2008, he held several audit and accounting positions at top advisory companies, such as Deloitte Czech Republic, Ernst and Young Slovakia and Accenture Czech Republic.

In 2002 Mr. Pcola graduated from Economic University of Bratislava with Master’s degree in International Business and is also FCCA fellow member and chartered qualified accountant in Association of chartered certified accountants in London.

Biography: Hans-Ulrich Hügli

Hans-Ulrich Hügli went to school in France and in Germany. In 1975 Mr Hügli graduated from the University of Zurich with specialization in jurisprudence. In 2001 he completed the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.

After training as a Legal Secretary at the District Court of Zurich, Hans-Ulrich Hügli joined the International Loan Department of Bank Leu in Zurich in 1979. From 1985 to 1989 he worked as Vice President at the Capital Markets department of J.P. Morgan in Zurich, and later he continued his career with the bank’s branches in Tokyo and Hong Kong. In 1993 Mr Hügli returned to Europe and became Managing Director of Banque Leu in Luxembourg. From 1997 until his retirement in 2012 Hans-Ulrich Hügli was CEO and Country Manager of Credit Suisse in Luxembourg.

From 2013 Hans-Ulrich Hügli is an Independent director on the Board of Directors of East-West United Bank. Mr Hügli is also a Chairman of EWUB Audit Committee and a Member of Risk Committee.

Cecilia GejkeChief Risk Officer (CRO)
Biography: Cecilia Gejke

Dr Cecilia Gejke has a background in Material Physics and renewable energy sources from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden prior to joining the world of Finance.

Cecilia has held various leadership roles within Risk Management and capital & liquidity management at financial institutions both in London and Europe, gaining a broad experience in investment and retail banking cultures. Cecilia has a proven track record of designing and delivering efficient risk management frameworks to drive business performance and is also an experienced speaker and panelist at industry forums, and a council member of the Anglo-Swedish Society.

From August 2018 Cecilia Gejke is Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of East-West United Bank.

Andrey ZaytsevHead of Private Banking
Biography: Andrey Zaytsev

In 1994 Andrey Zaytsev graduated with honours from Lomonosov Moscow State University with specialization in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. In 2001 Mr Zaytsev obtained an MBA from INSEAD in France (Fontainebleau).

Andrey Zaytsev started his carrier in finance in 1994 as a trader at Post Bank in Moscow. One year later he was promoted to the position of Head of Treasury at the same bank. In 1996 Mr Zaytsev accepted the position of а Fixed Income Trader at ING Barings in Moscow. Upon his graduation from INSEAD in March 2002 he moved to Austria to work for Raiffeisen Zentralbank Oesterreich. Two years later Andrey Zaytsev returned to Moscow and took the responsibilities of Chief Investment Officer at Raiffeisen Capital AMC, where within a year he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. In August 2009 he became a Managing Director and a Partner of Walser Privatbank Wealth Management GmbH in Vienna. In 2014 Mr Zaytsev joined LGT Bank in Vienna in the capacity of Managing Director of the International Clients division.

Today Andrey Zaytsev is Head of Private Banking at East-West United Bank, where he was appointed in January 2015.
