EWUB unites Russia and Luxembourg on the green

At the end of September, East-West United Bank (EWUB) organized a friendly golf tournament bringing together Russian and Luxembourg players in the Grand Duchy. In addition to the services it offers, the bank intended to facilitate in this way the creation and strengthening of business links between the two countries.

A first Russian-Luxembourgish tournament

On 28 and 29 September, the institution organized a first international golf tournament bringing together players from Luxembourg and Russia. "Beyond the financial services offered, we also want to support the development of new business opportunities between European and Russian players," says Sergey Pchelintsev, CEO and managing director of EWUB. "Golf is the ideal sports discipline to connect people from two different cultures. This first event has demonstrated this. "

12 players from prestigious clubs in Russia have joined Luxembourg to take part in this friendly tournament. For two days, at the Golf-Club Grand-Ducal and at the Golf de Luxembourg, under a magnificent sky, competitive spirit rhymed with conviviality. "All participants appreciated the friendly and very positive atmosphere that prevailed throughout the tournament. Everyone has joined the desired spirit of meeting and communication, "said Sergey Pchelintsev, who himself participated in the competition.

 

See you in Moscow

"The speed with which the links were made impressed me," says Andrey Zaytsev, in charge of organizing the event. "It was as if everyone had known each other for a long time. Our partners, including some large Luxembourgish companies, also expressed their enthusiasm. For us, it is gratifying to see our guests fraternize in this way to, ultimately, make an appointment next year. It reinforces the human dimension inherent in our business. "

 

The second edition will take place in Moscow next summer.
