GLAMOUR AND SOCIETY AT RUSSIAN CHARITY BALL
The 4th annual Russian Charity Ball was held at the Cercle Cité in Luxembourg city centre on Saturday evening, organised by the Russian Charity Ball in Luxembourg asbl.
The event is considered an essential event in the Russian community in Luxembourg and traditionally coincides with the feast of the Orthodox New Year. It is a unique event of its kind, artistically and culturally very much part of the fashionable and cultural life of the Grand Duchy, and took place this year under the patronage of Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Etienne Schneider, his Excellency Mark Entin, Russian Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Russian Federation, Pierre Ferring.
The ball contributes to the development and improvement of relations between Luxembourg and Russia and Russian culture popularised in the Greater Region (Luxembourg, France, Germany and Belgium). The event featured a significant entertainment programme, including Russian singing, dance, ballet, gymnastics, as well as illusionist David Goldrake and a presentation by Schröder jewellers. TV stars Monica Semedo and Genadi Lerner compered the evening.
